About Me

Kelly Rollocks is an Atlanta-based artist and art educator whose work explores the intersections of identity, memory, and place through textile-based abstraction. Drawing from the visual language of quilting, she deconstructs and reimagines familiar textile elements, transforming them into layered compositions that carry both personal and collective histories. Through repetition, fragmentation, and reconstruction, her work reflects a deep engagement with heritage, process, and the quiet power of the handmade.
Rollocks holds a Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from the University of North Georgia. As an alumna of the University of Florida, she participated in an artist residency at Cow House Studios in Ireland.
In addition to her studio practice, Rollocks is a dedicated middle level art educator recognized for excellence in teaching and leadership. She was honored as the 2025 Georgia Middle Level Art Educator of the Year, named 2027 Berkmar Middle School Teacher of the Year, and selected as a Top 25 Semifinalist for 2027 Teacher of the Year in Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Both as an artist and educator, Rollocks approaches artmaking as an act of experimentation, reflection, and tradition. Her work embodies a quiet reverence for the handmade and an ongoing search for meaning through making.
